Image-analysis vendor VirtualScopics has received $3.8 million from a series C round of financing. Investors included GE Medical Systems of Waukesha, WI, and affiliates of venture capital firm Trillium Group.
VirtualScopics provides medical image analysis technology and biomarker quantification for drug development, according to the Pittsford, NY-based company. The firm said its suite of image analysis tools can detect and characterize minute changes in physical structures over time.
