GE Medical Systems of Waukesha, WI, has launched a new business unit dedicated to the orthopedics market. GE Medical Systems Orthopedics will feature dedicated sales specialists who handle the company’s imaging devices and information technology products.
GE said it formed the unit in response to the rapidly growing orthopedics segment, which is increasingly using medical imaging for applications such as minimally invasive surgery. Tammy Garcia has been named general manager of the unit.
