Fuji releases LAS 3000 system

Fuji Photo Film, the parent company of Fujifilm Medical Systems USA, has launched LAS 3000, the latest iteration in its line of luminescent image analyzers. The new system features charge-coupled device (CCD) technology that will replace x-ray film in chemiluminescence applications.

The product offers more than four orders of magnitude linearity compared with fewer than three orders available with x-ray film. This makes the device especially suitable for Western blotting in protein research, according to the Tokyo company.
