Siemens debuts Axiom Artis dBC

Siemens Medical Solutions has introduced Axiom Artis dBC, a biplane cardiac and angiography system equipped with two flat-panel digital detectors. Designed for diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac interventions, Axiom Artis dBC features 25-cm diagonal digital flat-panel detectors in both planes, according to the Malvern, PA-based firm.

The system offers touch-screen operation and pre-programmed exam positions, and can run at all cardiac-relevant framing speeds, Siemens said. The dynamic density optimization (DDO) feature allows for viewing of fine vascular structures distributed over dense areas equally as well as those in less dense areas, according to the firm.
