Xograph, Canon develop portable DR

U.K. imaging supplier Xograph Imaging Systems and Canon Medical Systems of Japan have developed a portable x-ray system for use in examining patients outside of the traditional hospital environment, according Gloucestershire-based Xograph.

The portable DR system consists of a Canon CXDI-50G portable 35 x 43-cm flat-panel x-ray detector, Xograph compact high-frequency portable x-ray unit, tablet PC control panel, and power-supply box. The entire package is in a wheeled travel case and is compact enough for ambulance DR at trauma scenes or at field stations in military combat, Xograph said.
