MONTREAL - The International Society of Radiology wrapped up its biannual Congress on Tuesday at the Palais de Congrès after five days of scientific presentations, courses, and lectures presented in English, French, and Spanish.
At the closing ceremony, ISR president Dr. George Klempfner of St. FX Cabrini Hospital in Malvern, Australia, passed on leadership of the organization to Dr. Francisco Arredondo from Francisco Marroquin University in Guatemala City, Guatemala. Arredondo will serve as ISR president for “Radiology into Africa,” the organization’s 24th international meeting, to be held in Cape Town, South Africa from September 12-16, 2006. Organizers also announced the launch of the new International Society of Radiologists Web site, (http://www.isradiology.org/), which will focus on the professional development of radiologists and radiology students worldwide.
