GE provides financing for Korean hospital system

GE Healthcare Financial Services has provided $10 million in financing to Catholic Medical Center, the largest hospital chain in South Korea.

The Seoul-based company will use the funds to lease back various equipment, including electronics, medical equipment, and furniture, for its new hospital and cancer center.

Catholic Medical Center has eight hospitals, which are located in Seoul, Kyunggi, and other provinces. The new cancer center in Seoul will increase the total bed count for the healthcare system to 5,678 by 2009.
