DFine debuts tumor ablation system

Medical device developer DFine has formally introduced its Star tumor ablation system in the U.S.

Star provides percutaneous targeted radiofrequency ablation therapy, which provides patients with pain relief from metastatic spinal tumors in a single minimally invasive treatment, DFine said. A phased launch began in March, and more than 140 patients have been treated at 48 facilities in the U.S., according to the company.
