Molli Surgical and Angel Advocates from the Tigerlily Foundation are collaborating to create a new advisory board that will provide insight and advocacy for breast surgery information.
Molli's technology localizes breast tumors, with the company saying it uses no wires or radiation. Angel Advocates are women between ages 21 and 50 who have been impacted by breast cancer through their own or a loved one's diagnosis. They are also focused on ending disparities and improving outcomes for Black women living with breast cancer.
Five Angel Advocates from the Washington, DC, area will review and refine Molli's breast localization toolkit, a set of resources provided to patients and breast surgeons to guide patient communication. The advocates will learn about the toolkit and help direct distribution guidance.
Molli also plans to expand the Angel Advisory Board's role to support other efforts and communities.
