Goodarzian named radiologist-in-chief named at Children's Hospital LA

Children's Hospital Los Angeles has named Fariba Goodarzian, MD, as radiologist-in-chief and chair of radiology and imaging, effective August 1. 

Goodarzian also holds the John L. Gwinn, MD, Chair in Radiology and serves as professor of radiology at the Keck School of Medicine of USC.

Goodarzian has been at Children's Hospital Los Angeles for more than 25 years, having joined following fellowships in pediatric radiology and pediatric neuroradiology. She has previously served as vice chair of radiology, director of radiology quality assurance, director of MRI, and director of nuclear medicine.

She is board-certified in diagnostic radiology with a Certificate of Added Qualification in pediatric radiology, and her academic work spans pediatric imaging, nuclear medicine, and pediatric oncology research including neuroblastoma and soft tissue sarcoma. She serves as co-investigator on research supported by the National Cancer Institute and the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development.
