ORLANDO, FL - Medical display provider Planar Systems of Beaverton, OR, demonstrated a work-in-progress dual-monitor version of its Invitium portable workstation product at the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) conference on Monday.
The new product is a variation of the Invitium workstation cart: a point-of-care wireless network-capable unit with a 700-MHz mobile processor, 40 GB of hard-disk space, an optional touch-screen panel, and a battery-powered cart. The dual-monitor system is designed for the display of medical images via PACS in surgical or interventional suites, said Steve Flieder, Planar vice president and general manager of Planar's medical business unit.
