The American College of Radiology (ACR) Learning Network introduced its first two vendor partners, Inflo Health and Radloop, to its ImPower program.
ACR ImPower connects health systems and radiology practices with resources, expertise, and a structured approach to identifying, training, and supporting multidepartment quality improvement (QI) teams. The program combines QI education with the direct application of QI tools to projects for team analytical problem-solving, according to the ACR.
Each ImPower cohort offers different topic-focused improvement collaboratives that are guided by QI leaders and clinical subject matter experts. Multidisciplinary local project teams learn QI methods and directly apply QI tools to improve their performance over a defined time. To date, 34 organizations have completed 42 projects through ImPower.
According to the ACR Learning Network, two new QI collaboratives will be added in 2025:
- CT dose optimization: to optimize doses for particular types of CT exams across the continuum of patient size.
- Mammography health equity: to improve mammography screening percentages in Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) priority population.
The ImPower program is currently accepting new vendors and new site participants. Demonstrations will be held December 2 and 3 at RSNA 2024 in Chicago.
