InSight Health to buy ex-Syncor imaging centers

Imaging services provider InSight Health Services has signed an asset purchase agreement with Cardinal Health of Dublin, OH, to buy diagnostic imaging centers in Southern California owned by Cardinal’s Comprehensive Medical Imaging subsidiary.

Cardinal acquired CMI this month as part of its purchase of radiopharmaceutical company Syncor International of Woodland Hills, CA. The companies expect to complete the transaction in a series of closings starting around January 31 and ending in early May 2003, according to Lake Forest, CA-based InSight.
