The diagnostic imaging arm of MAIN Medical has been purchased by a management and investment group led by company CEO Anthony Geramita. The acquisition includes five imaging centers, the former company's mobile ultrasound division, and the rights to the MAIN Medical name.
The group took ownership effective August 16. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
The new MAIN Medical said it plans to continue growth by opening more centers, and by developing partnering relationships with hospitals and other imaging providers in the region. The company will retain its Pittsburgh headquarters.
