Multimodality vendor Siemens Medical Solutions of Malvern, PA, has named William Ciemny as group vice president of global services in its health services division. Ciemny, who was recently vice president of global consulting services at IBM, will lead Siemens’ healthcare consulting, outsourcing, and education organizations. In addition, he will be overseeing the software rollout of Soarian, Siemens’ new healthcare information system, slated to begin in March 2003, according to the firm.
