Imaging industry veteran Dr. Phillip Berman has left Eastman Kodak Health Imaging and its AuntMinnie.com subsidiary, Kodak of Rochester, NY, reported last week. Berman left to pursue other opportunities, including a return to practicing radiology at an imaging facility in Tucson, AZ.
Berman joined Kodak in 2000, when Kodak acquired his company, Lumisys, a manufacturer of computed radiography and laser film digitizer systems. Berman had launched AuntMinnie while he was chief executive at Lumisys, and he remained at the helm of the company following the Kodak acquisition.
Berman’s responsibilities in overseeing AuntMinnie.com are being assumed by Atul Minocha, Kodak’s chief marketing officer. Minocha will provide leadership to the subsidiary while allowing it to maintain its editorial independence, according to Dan Kerpelman, president of Kodak Health Imaging.
