Imaging veteran Walter Schneider has been promoted to president and CEO of x-ray vendor Del Global Technologies. Schneider replaces Samuel Park effective immediately, according to the Valhalla, NY-based company.
Schneider joined Del in 2000, and since April 2002 has been president of the company’s Del Medical Systems group and its Villa Sistemi Medicali subsidiary in Italy. Prior to joining Del, Schneider was president of the Bennett division of Thermo Electron.
Del experienced a shareholder revolt earlier this year that saw investment firm Steel Partners II replace the company’s board with its own candidates.
