The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has named Dr. Daniel Schultz as director of its Center for Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH). Schultz has been acting director of CDRH since April 1, following the resignation of previous director Dr. David Feigal.
Schultz joined the FDA in April 1994 as a medical officer in the general surgery branch of CDRH, and later became chief medical officer in the division of reproductive, abdominal, and radiological devices. He has also served as deputy director and director of the CDRH's office of device evaluation (ODE).
