Peregrine Pharmaceuticals of Tustin, CA, announced that its board chairman, Dr. Thomas Waltz, died Wednesday.
Waltz had been a director of Peregrine since 2004 and was chairman since 2005. He was a neurosurgeon and a senior consultant in neurosurgery at the Scripps Clinic in La Jolla, CA, and also was chairman and CEO of the Scripps Clinic and president of the Scripps Clinic Medical Group. Waltz also served on the board of Genoptix and Premera Blue Cross of Washington and Alaska.
