Medical imaging equipment distributor and refurbisher Amber Diagnostics of Orlando, FL, has won a contract with GE Healthcare of Chalfont St. Giles, U.K., to provide equipment to several African countries, the company said.
GE has selected Amber's affiliate, Amber Diagnostics Africa, to distribute its equipment throughout Amber's networks in Niger, Mali, and Senegal. Amber Diagnostics Africa has also received a $16 million contract to provide GE multislice CT scanners, color Doppler ultrasound units, radiographic equipment, mammography devices, and computed radiography units to provincial hospitals in Cameroon.
