ContextVision will showcase its Altumira technology at the upcoming RSNA annual meeting in Chicago.
Altumira is software that draws on advanced AI to use digital x-ray images to address the challenges of static and dynamic digital radiography. The software combines ContextVision’s image enhancement technology with deep learning.
The company said that Altumira now features scatter correction functionality, which offers flexible and efficient contrast, detail, and noise control. This in turn improves workflow, enhances efficiency, and makes for a lower x-ray dose compared to images acquired with a grid, ContextVision said.
The company added that Altumira Plus for dynamic imaging will be upgraded with improved noise suppression and enhanced visualization of details. This aims to improve interventional cardiovascular procedures performed with mobile C-arms and angiography systems.
