Acute Radiation Pneumonitis:

The patient shown in the case below had received radiation therapy 6 weeks previously to the left chest wall for a liposarcoma. He complained of a non-productive cough and some shortness of breath.

CXR revealed an area of dense consolidated with air bronchograms peripherally in the left lung corresponding to the radiation port.
