Kodak donates medical equipment to Congo

The Dikembe Mutombo Foundation said that Rochester, NY-based Eastman Kodak has donated $26,000 in medical equipment and supplies for use in the Congo.

National Basketball Association all-star Dikembe Mutombo created the eponymous foundation in 1997 to improve the health, education, and quality of life for people in his homeland, the Democratic Republic of the Congo (formerly Zaire). Mutombo said the donation will help supply the country's new 300-bed general hospital in Kinshasa.
