The American Society of Radiologic Technologists has awarded a grant to a Virginia-based research team that plans to create a demographic and professional profile of radiologic technology educators.
Terri Fauber, chairman of the Department of Radiation Sciences at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, will use the $9,995 grant to survey 1,000 RT educators, assessing their scholarly activities and perceived barriers to research. Jeffrey Legg, an instructor in the university’s radiation sciences department, will co-author the survey with Fauber.
The researchers said they expect to complete the study in early 2002.
