BSD Medical reports Q3 results, inks Comed deal

Hyperthermia and ablation system developer BSD Medical announced mixed financial results for its third-quarter and nine-month 2014 fiscal periods (end-May 31).

In the third quarter, BSD reported revenue of $1.2 million, down 5% from $1.3 million in 2013. However, total revenue for the nine-month period was $4.3 million, up 53% from total revenue of $2.8 million for the same period in 2013.

BSD Medical had a net loss of $2 million in the third quarter and a net loss of $5 million for the nine-month period.

The company also announced that it has signed an agreement with Comed Medical Specialties. Under the agreement, Comed will sell and distribute BSD Medical's MicroThermX microwave ablation products in Arizona; California; Colorado; El Paso, Texas; Nevada; New Mexico; and Utah, according to BSD Medical.
