The Neuroendocrine Tumor Research Foundation (NETRF) will award a new round of scientific and clinical research grants designed to advance the treatment of and search for cures to neuroendocrine tumors (NETs).
The grants will take effect in 2018 and fall into three categories: accelerator grants, investigator grants, and pilot project grants. The grants vary from $50,000 to $1.2 million and are available for as many as four years.
In April, the NETRF announced $4 million in collaborative research grants to expand molecular understanding of NETs and to develop personalized treatment options for patients.
Approximately 170,000 people in the U.S. are affected by NETs, according to the foundation.
