X-ray developer Turner Imaging Systems has received the CE Mark for its portable fluoroscopy x-ray imaging device.
Smart-C Mini C-Arm is a battery-powered, 16-lb point-of-care fluoroscopic x-ray system that can be used at bedside. The device is designed for deployment in hospitals, ambulatory surgical centers, orthopedic clinics, and for use by professional and collegiate sports teams, according to the company.
Turner plans to expand the launch of Smart-C into a number of European markets throughout the 2021 calendar year. The company received clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to distribute Smart-C in 2019.
