Electron beam tomography (EBT) developer Imatron had revenues of $15.5 million in its second quarter, an 87% increase over the $8.3 million reported in the second quarter of 1999.
The South San Francisco, CA-based vendor had net income of $1 million for the period (end-June 30), compared with a loss of $1.9 million in the same quarter last year. Imatron sold eight of its EBT scanners during the quarter, and expects profits to continue their ascent throughout fiscal 2000.
