Contrast agent developer E-Z-EM reported revenues of $26.3 million in its 2001 fiscal second quarter, down 6.1% compared with the $28 million posted in its 2000 fiscal second quarter. For the period (end-December 2), the Westbury, NY-based vendor had net earnings of $861,000, compared with net earnings of $1.8 million last year. Results from the company’s diagnostic segment were adversely impacted by soft demand, both in the U.S. and internationally, according to president and CEO Anthony Lombardo.
