PointDx has filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Scottish 3-D firm Voxar in a U.S. district court. The suit charges Voxar with infringing virtual endoscopy patents developed by PointDx CEO Dr. David Vining, according to PointDx of Winston-Salem, NC. PointDx alleges that Voxar's products, including its Colonscreen software, infringe on PointDx patents.
PointDx is being represented by attorney Ronald Schutz from the Minneapolis law firm of Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi. Schutz represented Fonar in its MRI patent battles. A Voxar representative told AuntMinnie.com today that it has not received any litigation.
