Analogic reported fourth-quarter revenues of $92.2 million, down 4% compared with the $96.2 million reported in the fourth quarter last year. For the period (end-July 31), the Peabody, MA-based firm had net income of $6.3 million, compared with net income of $1.2 million last year, an increase of 410%.
Revenues for the fiscal year 2002 were $313.5 million, down 13% compared with the $360.5 million reported for fiscal year 2001. For the fiscal year (end-July 31), net income was reported as $3.3 million, compared with net income of $15.2 million for the same period a year ago, a decrease of 78%.
According to chairman and CEO Bernard Gordon, the company has orders in hand for 442 of its Explosive Assessment Computed Tomography (EXACT) systems that will take it through December this year. In addition, the company is anticipating additional domestic as well as foreign orders in calendar 2003, said Gordon.
