Toshiba adds 400-millisecond CT scanning

Toshiba America Medical Systems has incorporated 400-millisecond scanning capability into Aquilion 16, the firm's 16-slice CT scanner. The increased gantry rotation speed is 20% faster, and Aquilion 16 can now deliver up to 16 0.5-mm slices with a 400-millisecond gantry rotation, according to the Tustin, CA-based vendor.
