CAD developer R2 Technology of Sunnyvale, CA and Plymouth, MN-based Vital Images have agreed to integrate their lung nodule detection software.
The two vendors have entered a three-year pact for product distribution outside Japan. R2’s ImageChecker CT lung nodule detection software for multislice CT is in clinical trials as an investigational device and has not yet received marketing approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
Vital Images’ Vitrea 2 medical imaging software for diagnostic evaluation of CT and MR data, and which will be used with ImageChecker CT, is currently being marketed.
