Barco of Kortrijk, Belgium, has received 510(k) clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for Voxar 3D VesselMetrix, a vessel-analysis software package that enables radiologists to review MR and CT angiography studies for assessing stenosis, stent and stent-graft planning, and stent-graft surveillance.
Barco introduced the software as a work-in-progress at last year's RSNA meeting in Chicago. The software will help radiologists read large volumetric data studies, according to Craig Anderson, general manager of the Voxar product group.
