Siemens Medical Solutions has unveiled an upgraded version of its 16-slice Somatom Emotion CT.
The new Somatom Emotion produces images with a slice thickness as small as 0.5 mm and with enhanced image reconstruction times, according to the company. The system also features CARE Dose4D software to lower the radiation dose, computer-aided detection (CAD) software, syngo WorkStream4D, and syngo WebSpace.
Malvern, PA-based Siemens markets the Somatom Emotion CT for smaller hospitals and imaging centers.
