Dental imaging developer Imaging Sciences International has released the next generation of its i-CAT 3D conebeam CT dental imaging scanner.
The new version offers scan times of 5, 8.5, and 26 seconds, with standard reconstruction taking less than 30 seconds, according to the Hatfield, PA-based firm. It also includes a rotating, amorphous silicon flat-panel detector for capturing small and extended fields-of-view (17 x 23 cm).
Other new features include a reduction in typical file sizes to about 50 MB per file and a new redesign, Imaging Sciences said.
