Toshiba launches Aquilion Premium

Toshiba America Medical Systems of Tustin, CA, has launched the Aquilion Premium CT system.

Aquilion Premium rounds out the company's CT portfolio to include a product than can cover up to 8 cm in a single rotation. The system is field-upgradeable to a 320-detector-row Aquilion One, which sports 16 cm of coverage per rotation.

Aquilion Premium shipments are scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2009.
