Advanced visualization firm TeraRecon of San Mateo, CA, has announced new additions to its Aquarius iNtuition (AQi) that pertain to CT colonography functions. The features were presented at the International Symposium on Virtual Colonoscopy.
New additions include automated tools to perform colon segmentation while establishing a centerline for endoscopic evaluation. In addition, synchronization of prone and supine studies, 100% visualization verification, and one-click polyp identification are included in the package.
Also included are optional computer-aided detection (CAD) capabilities designed to facilitate interpretation, according to the firm.
