Despite reimbursement cuts and poor economic conditions, the U.S. diagnostic imaging market will see unit growth of approximately 5% over the next five years, according to Millennium Research Group of Toronto.
The new report stated that passing of new healthcare reforms in 2010 has "alleviated much of the uneasiness experienced in 2009 and will result in increased units being purchased in 2011."
The trend is expected to fuel unit sales of CT and MRI systems, where growth would be otherwise stable or slowing over the next five years.
