Toshiba America Medical Systems is offering new MRI and CT courses at its Institute of Advanced Imaging in Irvine, CA.
A four-day intensive course for Toshiba's Vantage Titan 3-tesla MR system combines lectures with hands-on scanning, covering theory and advanced concepts of 3-tesla MR. It also covers the essentials of clinical applications and system operations using the new M-Power interface. Technologists will learn about MR safety, the advantages of 3-tesla MR, coil technology, pulse sequences, parallel imaging, and specific absorption rate (SAR) management. Pilot classes for this course are scheduled to begin in December 2011.
The Advanced Cardiac CT training course, featuring the Aquilion One and Premium CT systems, provides technologists with a foundation of cardiac anatomy and physiology. Technologists will learn cardiac applications and operations such as ECG monitoring, coronary artery calcium scoring, CT angiography scanning, cardiac functional analysis, and image processing.
