Radiopharmaceutical provider Ion Beam Applications (IBA) announced that its Dosimetry unit has launched the MagicMaX medical imaging quality assurance (QA) product line and a North American sales and service network at the 2012 RSNA meeting in Chicago.
MagicMaX Universal is a compact multimeter dosimetry system for beam verification that can be used with all x-ray modalities. Its plug-and-play feature allows fast and seamless workflow with multiple parameters measured in a single exposure within one minute, according to the company.
The line also includes the MagicMaX Current Probe accessory, enabling both invasive and noninvasive measurements, and complete kits with MagicMaX Universal and imaging test phantoms for radiography, CT, or mammography to cover medical imaging QA needs from dose to image verification.
IBA also announced a U.S. and Canada new sales organization and 24-hour service network for its new product line.
