Infinitt updates radiation dose tracking software

RIS/PACS vendor Infinitt North America has released Dose M 2.0, a new version of its radiation dose tracking software.

The new version expands the capture of dose data from multiple modalities and can be integrated with RIS, PACS, or electronic medical records to make dose information accessible as part of the patient record, Infinitt said.

Software features include the following:

  • Supports multiple sources for data acquisition support
  • Collects data using the latest protocols and/or from legacy modalities as needed
  • Provides integrated statistical analysis by device for quality assurance/control
  • Provides analytical tools by patient, modality, and examination
  • Passes dose data to the iResults speech recognition module's report template for reporting
  • Automatically notifies appropriate staff by email alert when dose exceeds a defined threshold value

Direct integration with the American College of Radiology's Dose Index Registry (DIR), which will eliminate manual data entry, will be added in the third quarter of this year, Infinitt said.
