Image reconstruction software developer Medic Vision Imaging Solutions has added a radiation dose reporting capability to its SafeCT dose monitoring software.
SafeCT now provides both dose reduction and dose monitoring functions in one application, the company said. This will allow facilities using SafeCT with dose monitoring to be compliant with Joint Commission requirements that go into effect on July 1.
The software is vendor-neutral and works with all CT scanners that export dose data as image or DICOM data. Dose monitoring information is continuously collected and saved to a database, and reports can be generated as needed.
SafeCT with dose monitoring will begin shipping in the second quarter.
