Toshiba America Medical Systems has unveiled a new program designed to make it easier for its CT customers to reduce radiation dose, improve the performance of their CT scanners, and achieve compliance with the Medical Imaging and Technology Alliance (MITA) Smart Dose standard, also known as XR-29.
Toshiba's Assurance 360 program is a service and support agreement that upgrades existing Aquilion 8-, 16-, 32-, and 64-slice systems to surpass XR-29 standards, Toshiba said. It also boosts system performance, protocol optimization, and training, according to the company.
Assurance 360 applies to Aquilion systems sold before 2011, as all Toshiba CT systems delivered since then already meet XR-29 standards.
