Toshiba America Medical Systems has made its first U.S. installation of its hybrid angiography/CT room concept at the Central Arkansas Radiation Therapy Institute (CARTI).
Toshiba's Infinix 4D CT system incorporates the company's Infinix-i angiography system and 640-slice Aquilion One Vision Edition CT scanner. CARTI will use the combined system for oncology and interventional radiology applications, the company said. For example, during hepatoma embolizations, interventional radiologists can visualize and confirm that treatment is hitting the right areas with the device, as well as guide catheters into feeder vessels, according to Toshiba.
