Imaging software developer Qaelum has partnered with the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation (WARF) to distribute a new algorithm to track repeated scans in CT studies.
Together, WARF, which is a nonprofit foundation linked to the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and Qaelum aim to help imaging departments improve patient safety and efficiency.
With the algorithm, CT studies are analyzed automatically for unjustified scans. From there, actionable insights are presented, and end users can start improvement trajectories from within the platform, which can operate in an on-premises or cloud-based version. Under the partnership, Qaelum will bring the university's research to the global market.
