Arineta installs first SpotLight scanner in U.S., appoints new CEO

Arineta Cardio Imaging recently installed its first SpotLight scanner in the U.S. at Connected Cardiovascular Care Associates (C3) in Dallas. It also appointed a new CEO, Douglas Ryan.

SpotLight is a single-beat, whole-heart scanner optimized with 140 mm coverage at a rotation speed of 0.24 seconds per rotation. It also allows for cardiology practices to image their patients in quick succession, the company said. SpotLight has 510(k) clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. C3 will allow area doctors to image their patients at its facility using SpotLight to help with the backlog of Dallas imaging centers.

Ryan has 30 years of experience business infrastructure development and market strategizing for medical device companies. He was previously vice president of  Siemens Healthineers' CT business line.
