X-ray developer Wuestec is offering a new financing option to allow healthcare institutions to pay for its digital radiography systems on a fee-per-use basis. With this new approach, Mobile, AL-based Wuestec plans to provide its charge-coupled device (CCD)-based DX2000 system -- including shipping, installation, and maintenance -- free of charge.
The free DX2000 system includes a digital imaging receptor, a wall-mounting stand, table, high-frequency generator, tube, collimator, preview workstation, and PACS viewing software, according to Wuestec. In exchange, customers will pay as little as $3 per x-ray under the program, according to the vendor. Wuestec announced the new financing model at last week’s RSNA meeting in Chicago.
