PhorMax gets FDA clearance

Computed radiography manufacturer PhorMax has received 510(k) marketing clearance from the FDA for its CR system. The product is a desktop unit that combines a CR cassette, CR scanner and imaging system, and a quality control workstation. The clearance allows the privately held Palo Alto, CA-based company to introduce its product into the hotly contested CR marketplace.
