Schick moves into the black despite revenue dip

Digital x-ray developer Schick Technologies reported revenues of $5.8 million, down 6% compared with the $6.2 million in sales posted in the second quarter of 2000. For the quarter (end-June 30), the Long Island City, NY-based vendor had net income of $600,000, compared with a net loss of $500,000 last year. The latest numbers represent the third consecutive profitable quarter for Schick.

In other news, Schick reported that it has settled two lawsuits with Trophy Radiology, discontinuing all claims and counterclaims. Terms of the settlement agreement were not released.
